The final unit of the year was to make a board game. I chose to make a game about 70s and 80s rock music and titled it On Tour. I used Photoshop and the templates provided by The Game Crafter to create the components of my game. These components were a box, a board, cards, player pieces, a rules booklet, tokens, play money, and dice.

These are flat images of my box cover and back. The front has the title, age range, and number of players. The back has a brief description and a image of the game setup.

My board has a start space in the bottom right corner and the pieces move clockwise from there. There are four types of spaces you can land on. The question mark is for trivia. On that space you draw a trivia card and answer the question. If you get it right you gain money. The stage lights are for concert. On that space you role one die to find out the profit from that show. The result of the roll times ten is the profit. The die stands for luck. On this space you draw a luck card and do what it says. On the record space you roll the record dice. If the result of both die are the same you take a token of that type.

There are four different types of cards. The first row of cards are luck cards which are represented by a die. These cards tell you to do something from taking money to drawing a card. The second row are gear cards which are represented by a guitar. One of these cards are drawn at the beginning of the game. You gain the money listed on the card if it is a preferred instrument of one of your musicians. The third row of cards are musician cards which are represented by a music note. These are the members of your band. You draw one of these at the beginning of the game and more if a luck card tells you to. The last row are trivia cards which are represented by a question mark. You answer the question on the card then gain $10K if you answer it right. The answers are on the last page of the rules booklet.

These record symbols appear on dice and tokens. Each record die has three gold, two platinum, and one multiplatinum. Each record token has a value to it. A gold token is worth $5K, a platinum is worth $10K, and a multiplatinum is worth $15K.

Play money has 4 values: 5K, 10K, 50K, and 100K. When you reach $1M you win the game.

The player pieces are shaped like tour buses and are four different colors. Each of the four player will choose one.

The rules booklet lists the contents, tells how to set up, tells how to play, tells the types of cards, tells how the money is used, and has the answer key.

After I finished the game I created an infographic to advertize it.

It summarized the game and showed images of some of the components. I aslo said how much the game costs and where to by it.
